One shoebox, one child, a world of hope
This Christmas, our church family is packing shoeboxes full of toys, school supplies, and everyday essentials for children around the world. Each one is a chance to show a child they are loved by God.
Three weeks to fill a box
Pick up a box
Grab an empty shoebox at church after either service and take it home.
Pack & pray
Fill it with your family, add a note, and pray for the child who will open it.
Bring it back
The last day to bring your packed shoebox back to Central Church.
Packing a box, step by step
It only takes a few items to make a child's Christmas. Here's the simple version, with the full guide from Samaritan's Purse below.
Choose who it's for
Pick a boy or a girl and an age group, then mark it on your box label.
Start with a "wow" item
Begin with something they'll treasure, like a doll, a stuffed animal, or a deflated soccer ball with a pump.
Fill it up
Add school supplies, hygiene items, clothing, and small toys until the box is full.
Add a note & pray
Include a personal note or family photo, then pray for the child who will receive it.
