been here for years

The first time is the hardest part — so we make it easy.

From the second you walk in, someone's looking for you. No awkward standing around. Loud music, real friends, a message that meets you where you are, and zero pressure to have it all figured out. Just come as you are.

Worship

Live music to kick the night off loud.

A Real Message

Truth that actually applies to your week.

Games

The kind that get a little out of hand.

Small Groups

A few people who actually know your name.

One Room, Every Grade

Middle & high school,
all under one roof

We gather together — because the best youth groups feel like one big family. But we never forget that 6th grade and 12th grade are living in two different worlds.

Grades 6 – 8

Middle School

Ages 11–14

A high-energy, fully-chaotic-in-the-best-way space to make friends, ask big questions, and figure out who God made you to be — right as everything's changing.

MS

Grades 9 – 12

High School

Ages 14–18

Deeper conversations, real community, and a faith that's becoming your own. Leadership, serving, trips, and friendships that go the distance.

HS

Worship together, grow in groups that get your stage of life.

The Year at Central Students

12 months. Zero
boring weekends.

Trips, lock-ins, color wars, beach bashes and more. Tap any month for details & to sign up.

Mark Your Calendar

The big three

Every year we go all-out three times. These are the trips students talk about for years — and the easiest place for faith and friendships to take off.

More Than a Hangout

We don't just gather.
We go.

"Faith that stays in the room isn't worth much."

Our students show up for Hilton Head. From singing with our neighbors at local senior homes to serving families across the island, Central Students is raising up a generation that loves people on purpose — not just on Sundays.

First-timers fill out a quick card so we can connect you with the right group & keep parents in the loop.

Parent FAQ

What grades is Central Students for?
Central Students is Central Youth — our ministry for students in 6th through 12th grade (middle & high school). We meet all together for worship and a message, then break into small groups by age & stage.
When and where do you meet?
Two nights a week at Central Church (975 William Hilton Parkway): Sundays 4:00–6:00 PM for worship, a message & hangout, and Wednesdays 5:30–7:30 PM for dinner (5:30–6:30) followed by Bible study and small groups (6:30–7:30).
My student doesn't know anyone — will they fit in?
That's exactly what we're built for. Every first-timer gets personally welcomed and walked into a small group, so no one stands around alone. Most students tell us it stopped feeling new by the end of the first night.
Is it safe and supervised?
Always. Every adult leader is background-checked and trained, and our team is present the entire night. For trips and retreats we keep a low student-to-leader ratio and communicate details with parents ahead of time.
How much do trips and events cost?
Our weekly gatherings are free to attend, with Wednesday dinner available for a small cost. Trips like Winterfest, the Summer Trip, and Fall Retreat have a cost that varies — and we never want money to keep a student home. Scholarships and fundraisers (like Tate's Bake Auction) help cover it. Just reach out.
How do I get my student connected?
Easiest way: just come to a Sunday or Wednesday. Or send Student Pastor Tate a quick note ahead of time and we'll be watching for you — we'll help your student find their people right away.
